Biography

Aaron is currently the Director of Advanced Practice at the The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He is enrolled in the Executive DNP program at The Ohio State University. He graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology in 2001. He began working as an oncology nurse in 2001. In 2005 he received his Master’s degree, also from The Ohio State Univerisity, as a family nurse practitioner. As a nurse practitioner, he has worked with both pediatric and adult hematology and oncology patients. He is currenly a member of the Ohio Action Coalition’s Scope of Practice subgroup. He serves on the Board of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology as the first nurse board member. He is also the coordinator-elect to the Oncology Nursing Society’s Nurse Practitioner Special Interest Group. His areas of interest include nursing outcomes for the elderly, multidiciplinary team communication, and advanced practice nursing role development and education. He has presented both nationally and internationally on a number of topics related to advanced practice nursing and geriatric oncology nursing.
