Biography

Adam Schneider graduated from Edgewood College in Madison, WI with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing where he was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. After graduating, he worked as a critical care nurse for Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI, floating to a variety of units including the Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Room. He currently works as an Organ Procurement Coordinator for the University of Wisconsin Organ and Tissue Donation service. The critical care skills he obtained as a floor nurse have allowed him to work in this rewarding field by managing acutely ill patients and by optimizing organ function for the best possible donation outcome. Through his work, he has found a strong passion for teaching not only patient’s families, but also the many disciplines throughout each hospital in the state of Wisconsin. After obtaining his Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Wisconsin Madison, he hopes to work as both an educator and a leader in Nursing.
