Biography

Graduating with an MSN from Yale University in 2016, Andrea is currently an NP Resident in the VA Center of Excellence in Primary Care Program and is pursuing her DNP through Vanderbilt University. Prior to becoming a nurse in 2011, she studied at Arizona State University where she received her MA in Anthropology. Andrea previously worked as an anthropology instructor at Marshall University and surgical ICU nurse in Appalachia and at Yale New Haven Hospital. Her research interests include rheumatology and medical dermatology, chronic conditions and quality of life, rare disease diagnosis and management in primary care, rare disease patients as an underserved sociocultural group, genetics and genomics integration into primary care.
