Biography

Brittany Frank is a DNP student in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at North Dakota State University. She received her BSN from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2012. As an undergraduate student, she was awarded the Donald and Marjorie Meredith Scholarship. The Meredith scholarship provided her with the opportunity to assist in the nursing simulation lab and serve on the School of Nursing Curriculum Board and College of Allied Health and Nursing Advisory Board. Since graduation, she has been working as a medical-surgical nurse at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN. Along with her role as a staff nurse, Brittany works in the education department as a staff nurse educator. Her job is to orient new nursing staff to the organization. She also assists with the Preceptor and Mentor Programs. In 2014, Brittany served as an adjunct faculty member at Minnesota State University, Mankato. As an adjunct faculty member, she had the privilege of educating the youth of the nursing profession on nursing skills and procedures. Once Brittany obtains her DNP, she plans to work as a family nurse practitioner in a rural community. She also hopes to become a nurse educator at a university.
