Biography

Caridad Remy, RN, B.S.N., M.S.N., FNP-BC is currently a Clinical Director at the Visiting Nurse Service of NY. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from New York University and her Master’s Degree from SUNY Downstate. Cum Laude graduate of both institutions, Ms. Remy has also been fortunate to be a student speaker at her graduate commemorative ceremony which included the opportunity to speak at Carnegie Hall. Throughout her academic career, she has received several student leadership awards and has also been featured in Who’s Who among Students in American Universities & Colleges. After a brief career working on the Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit at SUNY Downstate, she began working as a Public Health Nurse in the community setting. For the past 10 years, she has worked as an Administrator at both Licensed and Certified Home Care Agencies. In addition to her administrative work, Ms. Remy also works as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a private clinic in the heart of Brooklyn. There, she has the opportunity to provide primary care to a diverse population of patients. Passionate about ensuring quality care to patients residing in the community, her research is focused on finding ways to improve patient outcomes for patients diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. Ms. Remy is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree at Drexel University. She resides in Brooklyn with her mother and two sons, Elijah and Isaiah where she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
