Biography

Christine has worked for 25 years in oncology research. She has been a nurse for 15 years having worked the last two years in hospital administration. Christine’s nursing education started at Gloucester County College with an Associate of Science in Nursing degree followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University. Christine plans to complete the Doctor of Nursing Practice requirements by August 2020. Christine has worked as a clinical research nurse on Phase I through III clinical trials in oncology in both community and academic settings. Christine’s introduction to hospital administration came when she was named Administrative Director of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Network in 2016. Given the expansion of the Jefferson Health System in the last two years, this work experience has provided her with an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with interprofessional team members. Christine is currently working with the Jefferson Breast Care Center on quality measures and continues to have interest in women’s health. She would like to make contributions in the areas of women’s health screenings and clinical research by focusing on prevention, control and outcomes in the Jefferson Health catchment area. By further identifying and defining the catchment area, barriers to care could be determined and addressed by an interprofessional team of clinicians, researchers and administrators. In addition to her work, she has expressed an interest in teaching for a Nursing Informatics program. As Christine continues to develop her leadership skills as a DNP student, she hopes to participate in teaching opportunities.
