Biography

Corletta Aririguzo is a PhD student in the dissertation phase at Texas Woman’s University. Corletta’s research interest is in Women’s health, specifically exploring the experiences and symptoms management of African American women in menopausal transition. Corletta graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College, NY. She then obtained her Masters degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Texas A & M University of Corpus Christi. Corletta has extensive clinical nursing experience in critical care. She also has administrative experience managing a medical clinic specializing in community health care. Her critical care skills obtained has optimized her ability to educate patients and families within the community on healthy lifestyles and disease management. Through her work within the community setting, Corletta found a passion for teaching. Corletta plans on a long career in academia and currently works as an Adjunct Clinical Nursing Professor at Delmar College, where she enjoys using thinking strategies to improve and develop students clinical judgment.
