Biography

Gloria Otoo is a PhD student (2nd Cohort) at Molloy College. Gloria obtained her RN diploma and also went into midwifery and public health nursing in Ghana, her home country. She furthered her education in the United States by completing a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master in Nursing Education degree in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Gloria is enjoying her educational journey as a doctoral student and aspires to become a nurse scientist, an advocate and an effective educator. Gloria is currently a staff nurse in obstetrics, a research assistant, and an adjunct clinical instructor. Gloria’s clinical practice interests are Obstetrics, Public Health, and Clinical Instruction. Gloria has many years of experience in antepartum, intra-partum, and postpartum women’s health both in the community and in a hospital setting. Some of the leadership roles Gloria have held has been in preceptorship in the clinical area and in the church as a women’s health speaker. Some of the awards won are on preceptorship and the Jonas scholarship award.
