I currently work as a Hospitalist Internal Medicine . I am in Vanderbilt University MSN to DNP program. My long term goals are two fold ; 1) to work at VA in their Primary Care Clinic. I did two coronations at Mountains Home VA in Johnson City TN as part of my residency for my FNP clinical’s. I did my final research project on PTSD in the hospitalized ICU patient. 2) Is to work at a University Level teaching our future Nurses or Nurse Practitioners. I have worked in all setting Primary Care, Long term care facilities that included VA patients, Skilled Rehab Nursing Home, and Hospital as an FNP. Working in all of these areas have given me experience with PTSD patient’s. I am currently one of five who was selected to be FNP Representative on the Mid Level Committee by our local Health Care System Wellmont. This is a new committee to bridge the gap between administrators and mid level providers to help administration to better understand the role of the mid level and our future with ever evolving health care system. I previously was in the role of house supervisor which had to elected by floor nurses and hospital administration. I competed with over twenty-two applicants and was chosen one out of 6 positions.
