Jasmine Scott, BSN, RN

University of Cincinnati PhD
Biography

As a current BSN- PhD scholar of Nurse Research at the University of Cincinnati, I view myself as a leader in the progression of the investigation of the African American geriatric community, specifically within that of ESRD ( End-Stage Renal Disease) patients, and their caregivers. It is my interest within this area of research to dissect both the forms of caregiver- provider communication, and the theoretical idea of uncertainty caregivers may experience. Enrolled within the Nurse Educator track, I am dedicated to increasing my fundamental knowledge base of faculty enriched skills, and content necessary to move forward into the role of the educator. I have committed to the idea of pursuing teaching in the form of nursing education, as a means of impact and dissemination of the evidence-based practice in which I am currently involved. Other experiences, such as works as a Graduate Assistant of Research, and active member of Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority Inc., have allowed opportunities for growth, and leadership in the areas of research most critical for success.
