Biography

Major Jennifer Jamison-Gines is currently the sole ICU Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC), Germany. She received a BSN from University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1996. She was commissioned in the US Air Force in January 2000. She was selected to complete an advanced practice degree and earned a dual MSN with an emphasis in Critical Care from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. Maj Jamison-Gines is a board certified ACNP and certified Critical Care CNS. Prior to her current assignment, she was a Critical Care CNS at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Maryland, where she provided clinical oversight of 200 Tri-service personnel. During her career, she has served in four major ICUs, flown over 70 critical care transport missions, and over 1200 hours of air evacuation flight during multiple deployments. Her noteworthy career achievements include awarding of the Aune-Paget Trophy for best aeromedical evacuation team and endurance course crew. She was also co-developer of the first conventional in-air surgical capability as well as numerous international medical partnership projects. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. Maj Jamison-Gines’ DNP focus is the implementation of a nonverbal pain assessment tool that can be used across the continuum of military critical care settings.
