Biography

I am a dedicated and focused professional RN with proven strengths in leadership, patient care, staff development, and family advocacy. I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville School of Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing Leadership from Webster University. My past nursing experience including expertise ranging from Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Critical Care, and Nursing Leadership. I have completed certification as a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse through the American Association of Neurologic Nurses. I currently serve as the Coordinator of the Stroke Program at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis. In this role, I am responsible for coordinating comprehensive neurologic care via a multidisciplinary team for all potential stroke patients, based on the most current evidence based literature. I currently am enrolled in the DNP program at the University of Missouri in Saint Louis with a program focus of Family Practice. Being selected as a Jonas Nursing Scholar is an honor and a privilege. I recognize the tremendous sacrifices that our veteran’s have made to serve our country. With that being said, I am eager to use my nursing education and leadership experience to help positively impact healthcare outcomes and quality of living for Veteran’s suffering from TBI’s.
