Biography
Kaitlin is currently enrolled in the University of Michigan-Flint Doctorate of Nursing Practice program with a focus in Family Primary Care. Her research interests include cardiovascular disease and obesity with her capstone project focusing on the measurement of waist circumference. Kaitlin received her undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from Hope College in 2007. She works at Beaumont Hospital on the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit as a registered nurse where she serves as the a Magnet Representative.

Dissertation: Waist circumference for establishing risk for cardiometabolic syndrome. Based on literature review, Veterans are at higher risk for obesity based on waist circumference.
