Kamil El, MSN, MEd, RN
Biography
Kamil El is a student nurse midwife and clinical nurse who works with historically underserved populations to promote the midwifery model of physiologic care throughout the lifespan. Kamil believes that educating and supporting women to meet their specific functional, developmental and cultural needs is crucial to helping them reach their self-determined life goals. Throughout her 20 year career as an Educator, Kamil has worked in a public health agency, taught in public schools, and provided full scope nursing care for mothers during intrapartum at a Level I trauma center in the Philadelphia area. Kamil’s extraordinary compassionate and skillful nursing care was recognized by The Daisy Foundation. Her life’s work will continue in improving health, particularly for economically marginalized women, through preventative care. Kamil plans on serving all underrepresented women and their families in Southeastern PA. Kamil holds a bachelor’s in Nursing from Drexel University and a master’s in Education from Arcadia University. She is currently completing a master’s and DNP in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University.

Dissertation: Although I have not chosen a title, the focus of my Capstone/Dissertation will be preventative health, particularly for economically marginalized and underrepresented women.
