Northeastern University PhD
Biography

I graduated from University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry. During this time, I worked in collaboration with Yale University on identifying the effects of polyamines on MCF-7 breast cancer cells. I became a high school teacher where I taught chemistry and physics for five years while going to night school to receive my masters in Healthcare Administration and Education. I received my Bachelors in Nursing from Northeastern University, and I am currently enrolled in the PhD in Nursing program studying oral-systemic health. My interest includes interprofessional collaboration in oral-systemic healthcare for the older adult population. I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Innovations in Interprofessional Oral Health program at Northeastern University, where I have presented this work at multiple conferences and continue to develop my scholarship in this area. I serve as a graduate advisor and oral health liaison for the student led interprofessional healthcare organization, iRISE (interprofessional research, innovate, serve, and educate).
