Biography

Kimberly J. Angelini, BSN-RN, WHNP-BC is an MS/PhD student at Boston College. She is currently a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Kim works as a staff nurse on the in-patient transplantation unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. She serves on the board of directors for ANA Massachusetts and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Alpha Chi chapter, the Society of Urological Nurses and Associates (SUNA) and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Kim’s research focuses on women’s health issues, specifically problems with the pelvic floor and lower urinary tract symptoms. At Boston College, Kim is working alongside faculty mentors and advisors with expertise in women’s health quantitative and qualitative research methods. Her research and educational development include the expertise of faculty mentors including Dr. Kathy Hutchinson, whose research focuses on adolescent and young adult risk behaviors and influential parenting behaviors, and Dr. Melissa Sutherland, whose research addresses the issue of interpersonal violence and its influence on health outcomes among adolescent and young adult women.
