Biography

Krista Roberts is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) attending the University of Connecticut’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. Her clinical interests are in Women Veterans Health, Veterans Mental Health, and Preventative Healthcare. Ms. Roberts received her BSN from The University of Akron in 2009 and a MS in Nursing, from the University of Connecticut in 2014. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 2016. Ms. Roberts was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy, Nurse Corps in 2009 and served for five years on active duty. While serving she earned a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. She is currently serving as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve, Nurse Corps and functions as her unit Department Head of Administration and Manpower. In 2017, she was selected for a one year Nurse Practitioner Fellowship at The U.S. Department Veterans Affairs, Connecticut in the Center of Excellence in Primary Care where her interest in Veterans Healthcare grew.
