Laura Elizabeth Britton of Chapel Hill, North Carolina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Wellesley College in 2005 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina in 2014. She is a member of UNC-CH’s first cohort of Hillman Scholars and currently is a pre-doctoral trainee supported by NIH/NINR T32NR007091-20: “Interventions for preventing and managing chronic illness.” She is broadly interested in delivery of family planning services to women with chronic illnesses and associated health disparities. Her dissertation research will focus on contraception use among women with diabetes and women with cancer.
