Samuel Merritt University DNP
Biography

I moved to the US with my family in 1999. Decided to pursued Nursing as my second career because in order to get my teaching credentials in the US I would have to start my degree ove. I took maximum of 2 classes at a time for my nursing school pre-requisites because I could not afford to be a full-time student. In 2012 I applied first time for a nursing program and was accept on my first application at the only school I applied. On my last semester of nursing school I received information on the DNP program. I was introduced to the Chair of the program; I applied and got accepted after being a RN for six months. I am in love with my DNP program because I am always willing to work hard to obtain what I want. I have been working as a school nurse for almost a year. I feel privileged because as a former teacher and now a nurse I have the best of both worlds.
