Marianne Schallmo graduated with her DNP from Johns Hopkins University. She received her MSN in 1997, FNP in 1998, and BSN in 1991, all from Valparaiso University. The majority of her nursing practice has been focused on caring for patients across the full spectrum of cardiovascular diseases. She has a passion for improving the quality of life for patients with congestive heart failure. Her doctoral project focused on educating cardiac nurses on palliative care in patients with heart failure. Her goal is improving patient quality of life and patient outcomes for heart failure patients.
