Biography

Mary Ann Jessee is a doctoral candidate at Oregon Health and Science University where she is currently completing a PhD in Nursing. She is an assistant professor and the director of the Prespecialty Level of the Master of Science in Nursing Program at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (VUSN). Mary Ann earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from VUSN. Her expertise includes facilitating student development of sound clinical reasoning skill through innovative learning experiences in the clinical learning environment. Mary Ann is a member of and has received research funding from Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association and the National League for Nursing. Mary Ann’s current academic research focuses on optimizing the clinical learning experience to promote the practice-readiness of baccalaureate-level nursing students.
