Roksolana Starodub, ACNP-BC

Biography

Roksolana is currently a fourth year PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Her research interests are in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, delivery of therapeutic hypothermia after cardiac arrest and the use of simulation technologies in nursing education. In 2008, Roksolana obtained her MSN with an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner track from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Her BSN degree is from Chatham University (2006). Over the past seven years, Roksolana has taught undergraduate and graduate students in the simulation laboratory and participated in clinical teaching at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Her nursing experience is in critical care, Medical and Coronary Intensive Care Units. Currently, Roksolana is a National Patient Safety Fellow from the VA National Center for Patient Safety at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. As a Patient Safety Fellow, she focuses on resuscitation and education research in order to improve patient safety during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and post-resuscitation care. Currently, Roksolana also serves as an Early Career member and volunteer on the American Heart Association Educational Science and Programs committee.
