I have been a registered nurse since 1984. I first obtained an MSN as a CNS with trauma specialty. I worked as a CNS for a Level 1 Trauma Center. I returned to school and obtained my FNP. I continued to work with trauma patients then changed to internal medicine. I am currently working at the VA in Pittsburgh in a 48 hour Observation Unit. I manage patients with a variety of acute and chronic problems. I continue to precept nurse practitioner students and I am adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing.
