By working in a rural environment, Sandra learned the detriments in accessing health care for rural America. In 2013, Sandra returned to formal education to accomplish her goal of obtaining certification as a family nurse practitioner. Sandra is currently enrolled in University of Utah’s doctoral nursing program and is centering on family medicine. She yearns to work in rural America and with under served populations.
