Shelli Feder, RN, MSN, FNP-BC

Biography

Ms. Feder is a current PhD student at the Yale School of Nursing. She earned a BS in nursing in 2006 from Florida State University, and a MSN as a family nurse practitioner from Yale University in 2010. Her areas of expertise include palliative care, heart failure and gerontological nursing and she has past and current nurse practitioner experience in acute care and hospice/palliative care settings. Ms. Feder’s dissertation research centers on the provision of palliative care to HIV positive and non-HIV positive older adult veterans with decompensated heart failure. She has received funding for her doctoral work from the National Hartford Centers of Gerontological Nursing Excellence (Patricia G. Archbold Predoctoral Scholarship). Ms. Feder is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the National Hartford Centers of Gerontological Nursing Excellence, and the Gerontological Society of America.
