Biography

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Widener University. I am interested in the concept of moral distress in nursing practice and my Ph.D. research focuses on the concepts of moral integrity and duty orientation for nurse educators. Additionally, I have significant experience in the clinical area of immunizations across the lifespan with multiple local and national presentations on the subject. I have completed data collection and am finishing the final chapter of my dissertation. I am an active university campus leader by serving on several committees at Alvernia University as a full-time member of the faculty. Additionally, I participate in significant community service in my role as chairperson of the Berks Immunization Coalition, an immunization advocacy organization, and active volunteer positions in my faith community as a musician. I have been a registered nurse for 31 years and in nursing education full time since 2011.
