Biography

Trisha Saul has earned her Associate degree in Nursing from Finlandia University in 2005 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2014. For the past 13 years she has primarily worked in the hospital setting with the last four years in telemetry and oncology. She is a certified Pain Management nurse. In July of 2017 she accepted a position at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance as Nursing Research Coordinator where she mentors clinical nurses in evidenced based practice and research. In addition to those responsibilities she also assists the Magnet Director with shared governance responsibilities, including mentorship and teaching. She is an active member of the Nursing Research Council and Coordinating Council. Her past work in Hourly Rounding has been presented at the American Society for Pain Management Nursing (2017) and Association of California Nurse Leaders (2018). Her work in Safe Medication Administration has been presented at the Western Institute of Nursing (2018). Trisha’s priority research area is chronic disease management and palliative health. Her PhD focus is on utilizing complementary and alternative medicine strategies to help informal caregivers of lung cancer patients. Her focus is preventing psychological burden in caregivers.
