Tushana Fowlin, M.S., CRNA

Biography

Tushana Fowlin received her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania and commenced her career in nursing with the United States Public Health Service (USPHS). In the USPHS she served as a Nurse Lieutenant Officer working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. After separating from USPHS, she began working as a critical care nurse taking care of post-surgical critically ill patients. Afterwards, she returned to school and obtained a Masters degree in Nursing Anesthesia from the University of Maryland. Now, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, she provides anesthesia to a wide variety of patients in the federal and private sectors. In addition to providing anesthesia care, Ms. Fowlin is an Adjunct Professor for undergraduate nursing students at Coppin State University. Currently, Ms. Fowlin is pursing her doctoral studies at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Ms. Fowlin plans to focus on Women’s health for her PhD studies and ultimately pursue a career in nursing research and education.
