William Donald, RN, CCRN, ATC, EMT
Biography
Mr. William Donald earned his primary Masters of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and received a secondary Master’s of Science degree in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, maintains a certification in critical care nursing (CCRN) through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and is also a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. Recently he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserve Nursing Corps where he received the Male Athlete Award for physical conditioning. Mr. Donald is currently attending the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. His dissertation project focuses on how knowledgeable college health nurses are in managing chronic traumatic brain injuries or concussions among veteran students. He presently works for a ground medical transport company and is an adjunct professor in Kinesiology and Nursing among two academic institutions. Mr. Donald also teaches CPR and First Aid in under-served populations in his surrounding communities.
