Biography

Alicia (Ali) Craig-Rodriguez has over 25 years of leadership experience, including 20 years in the health care field and 16 years in clinical trials management. As a former President and Chief Operating Officer of two nationally recognized clinical research organizations, Ali has been accountable for the operational, regulatory and quality compliance of hundreds of clinical trials in virtually every major therapeutic area, and has led teams in the creation of comprehensive and industry-compliant standard operating procedures, quality management programs, and employee training and development initiatives. Ali is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and currently serves on the board as Treasurer of the Association of Clinical Pharmacology Units. Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/ Communication from the University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida, and an Executive MBA from the University of South Florida College Of Business. She is currently enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Nursing Program at Florida State University, and was recently named FSU College of Nursing’s Outstanding Graduate Student for 2014. Upon graduation in 2016, Ali will return to clinical practice with the eventual goal of obtaining a faculty position where she can educate Florida’s next generation of nurses in the areas of primary care and mental health.

Dissertation: Utilization of an FDA and FSMB compliant Educational intervention for Florida Nurse practitioners involving the safe and responsible prescribing of extended release and long-acting opioid analgesics.
