Upon graduating from the BSN program at Oakwood University, Anisa worked as a neonatal ICU nurse in Houston, Texas for one year before beginning the BSN to PhD program at the University of Cincinnati. She has thoroughly enjoyed working with neonates and has chosen this population to be the focus of her research area of interest. As a strong advocate of health promoting activities, it is her hope to explore ways in which health promotion and disease prevention can be further applied in premature infants.
