Biography

Cheryl Elliott-Dawe, RN, CNOR holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree (2014) from the University of Texas El Paso. Ms. Elliott-Dawe served as a soldier and nurse leader in the Army Nurse Corps for 30 years, retiring at the rank of Colonel. She served in various leadership positions and in overseas deployments in response to humanitarian crises and wars. She is recognized by the Army Surgeon General as a national expert in perioperative nursing. She is currently enrolled in the PhD in Nursing program at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. Her clinical specialties include Medical/Surgical Nursing, Obstetrical/Gynecological Nursing, Infection Control, and Nursing Administration. She is Board Certified in Perioperative Nursing. Her research interests include the development and evaluation of a comprehensive synergistic perioperative services model that optimizes patient flow, surgical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and access to care.
