Biography

Christy Adams is a Nursing Science and Health-Care Leadership Doctor of Philosophy student at the University of California, Davis, Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Her clinical practice interest is injury prevention across the age continuum with a research focus on fall prevention among older adults transitioning from acute care to home. In addition to a Bachelor’s in the Science of Nursing, she holds a Master’s in Public Health. With over 25 years of trauma, critical care and community outreach experience, she has provided valuable contributions to local, state and national injury prevention initiatives. Her passion for collaborative injury prevention is evident in her development of numerous community partnerships and in her role as an injury prevention mentor for students of the health care professions. Ms. Adams is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Zeta Eta Chapter.
