Biography

With the initial intent to attend medical school, Greir Ander Huck Flynn attended Indiana University to receive his Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. Wanting to practice a more holistic model of care, he decided to attend Bellarmine University to receive his Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He currently maintains his certification as a Progressive Care Critical Nurse by working as a Systems Nurse Educator for Norton Healthcare’s Institute for Nursing while developing his career as a nurse scientist through a fellowship at the University of Louisville. His research interests include factors affecting health risk behaviors leading to the increased prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases within the Deaf community. In the future, he hopes to continue his research while using the information generated to influence his own practice and the practice of others.
