Jeramy Mahoney, RN

Uniformed Services University DNP
Biography

My name is Captain Jeramy Mahoney, and I have been in the Army since 2006. I am currently a student in the DNP program at the Uniformed Services University. I am excited for the opportunity to be involved in researching sexual trauma in the military. I hope that through this research our group will be able to provide information that aids the military in dealing with this issue. My previous work experience includes working as a clinical staff nurse on an inpatient ward that dealt with orthopedic and neurovascular issues. I also worked on an inpatient pediatric ward, and then a pediatric clinic where I served as the head nurse for the after-hours pediatric clinic. I have also served as a hospital translator. I have been awarded many awards for translating, and for my work in pediatrics. My most memorable award came when I was one of three honor graduates from the EFMP course. My goal is to one day return to pediatrics as a DNP provider.
