Biography
Kaitlyn received her BSN and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner degrees at Columbia University School of Nursing. As an energetic and enthusiastic new graduate, she practices as a Specialty Coordinator NP for the Metabolic, Endocrine and Minimally Invasive Surgery Department at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. She combines her passion for health promotion, behavioral modification, and disease prevention in this setting. Kaitlyn is completing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree at Columbia University School of Nursing. Upon completion of the DNP program, she will advocate for those with chronic illness in a variety of capacities as living with chronic illness and the maintenance of daily medical regimens involves a continuous complex interplay between conscientious patient education, patient advocacy and patient empowerment.
