Katie is currently a PhD candidate in nursing education at the University of Northern Colorado. Her research interests include issues in nursing education and the diversity of the nursing workforce. She works as an assistant professor at Utah Valley University where she serves as the Associate Chair of the nursing department and teaches pediatric nursing. Her Masters degree in nursing education is from the University of Utah. Clinical experience includes pediatric cardiology and general surgery.
