University of Wisconsin-Madison DNP
Biography

I am a second year full-time Doctor of Nursing Practice student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My focus is in primary care pediatrics with a special interest in nursing education. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012 with my BSN. Following graduation I accepted a new graduate nursing position in the pediatric intensive care unit at Mattel Children’s Hospital-UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. It was during my time there that I worked with leadership to develop the infection prevention committee and served as a nurse preceptor for newly graduated nurses. Since moving back to Wisconsin for the DNP program, I accepted a similar role as a bedside nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI.
