Biography

I am currently enrolled in the DNP program and have interests in leadership and policy. I am interested in how public perceptions, good or bad, has an effect on full authority practice for APRNs in California. I have both clinical and administration/leadership nursing experience in outpatient and inpatient settings. During my graduate studies at WesternU, I was awarded the President’s Society Award in recognition of outstanding academic excellence and service to the university. I was also recognized with the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, which is awarded to those who have demonstrated academic excellence, service to the community, involvement in extracurricular activities and leadership. My experiences in leadership range from my current employment as a lead provider at an urgent care, to a hospital supervisor and manager at my previous employment.
