Biography
Dr. Kimberly Taylor is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina. She recently completed 27 years of active duty Navy Nursing service. Her educational background includes:
Doctor of Nursing Practice, University of South Carolina – 2017
Master of Science in Nursing, East Carolina University – 2008
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Medical University of South Carolina – 1994
Associate of Science, Trident Technical College – 1992
Prior to joining the faculty at the University of South Carolina, Dr. Taylor taught at Texas A&M University and within the Department of Defense. Her teaching experience is primarily focused in Executive Leadership, Nursing Practice Theories, Health Policy, and Healthcare & Team Systems. Dr. Taylor’s research interests center on Patient Provider Communication, Patient Experience, Patient Safety, Strategic Communication, Professional Practice Models
and Emotional Intelligence. She is involved with the American Nurses Association, South Carolina Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, American Red Cross, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
