Leila Delilovic-Stober

Leila Delilovic-Stober received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Criminology with minor in Sociology from Simpson College in Indianola, IA. Prior to entering the nursing field, Leila served the community for five years as an Investigator with the local Sheriff’s Office. Currently, Leila is employed with Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL as an in-patient Blood and Marrow Transplant Registered Nurse. Mrs. Delilovic-Stober holds several leadership positions and is actively involved in evidence-based research. Currently, she is a chairwoman for the first online Nursing Research Journal Committee that is being used as a pilot for the entire hospital. As a member of the Shared Governance Committee, Leila has been able to be an instrumental part of decision-making and policy changes. Additionally, Leila was a lead researcher on a project for Moffitt’s annual, hospital-wide Evidence-Based Practice/Performance Improvement Day. This project resulted in a policy change that has improved patient’s outcome. She is currently a Doctor of Nursing Practice student in the family nurse practitioner program at the University of South Florida. Leila plans to focus her studies on Women’s Health with emphasis on sexual abuse. The research and focus area for her DNP project will be development of a program that will support the victims of sexual abuse, including military as well as civilian victims.
