Biography

I am a retired Navy Nurse with additional civilian experience. I have worked in Labor & Delivery as a civilian and in the Navy, in ICU (civilian and Navy), on a Medical unit, as the back-up OR nurse at Naval Hospital Guam, as the ward nurse on a Fleet Surgical Team deployed to Somalia and the Arabian Gulf, as an instructor and curriculum developer at Naval Hospital Corps School, and in staff education and training as instructor division officer and department head. After the Navy I worked in managed care for TRICARE and the Sharp Healthcare system. I hold a BA in Anthropology, a Diploma in Nursing, a BSN, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. My research interests are diabetes, veterans, prostate cancer, and leadership/management.
