Melodie Daniels, MSN, RN, CNS, RNP

Biography

Melodie Daniels received both her BSN and MSN from San Diego State University. She began her nursing career at the bedside as an ICU RN. After earning her MSN she practiced as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for six units including Telemetry, Float Pool, Medical/Surgical, and the Oncology for Kaiser Permanente. In 2007, she accepted a position as a Performance Improvement Consultant in the Quality Department at the San Diego Veteran’s Healthcare System. During her time at the V.A., she was responsible to facilitate the Quality Improvement Council for the Organization’s Nursing and Physician Leadership. Ms. Daniels has worked as a Professor of Nursing for National University since 2007. Melodie Daniels also served as Gamma Gamma Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International Newsletter Editor and Chapter President. She also served on the Foundation for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International’s Board of Directors in the roles of Director, Secretary, and Fellowship Task Force Co-Chair. Melodie Daniels is a Sigma Theta Tau, Virginia Henderson Fellow, Sigma Theta Tau Fellow, and participated in the Chiron Fellowship program. Melodie Daniels currently practices at Sharp Grossmont Hospital as the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Acute Care, Behavioral Health, Rehabilitation and Magnet Program Coordinator. She is currently a PhD student in the University of San Diego, Beyster Institute for Nursing Research, Hahn School of Nursing and serves as Associate Faculty at National University in the School of Nursing and Faculty Liaison for the National University Nursing Honor Society.
