I am presently working as a high tech Infusion RN in the infusion department at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. My clinical area of practice is infusion, cardiac, stroke and some pediatric. I am a master prepared nurse pursuing a terminal degree at Capella University. Obtaining a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) will enable to me share my wealth of knowledge in any area I am needed. I am dedicated to my capstone project because medication errors have a erroneous effect on patient’s safety. It also disrupts the family unit and their quality of life. Patient’s safety is synonymous to providing safe effective quality care. I have a natural love for academics as well as clinical practice. I have received multiple awards for team initiative, mentoring and serving as a preceptor for potential nursing students.
