Biography

LT Col Philip Dlugasch, Philip Dlugasch, MSN, ACNP-BC is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. He is employed with the Jackson Health Care System in Miami, Florida where he is an integral member of the Heart/Lung transplant team and Left Ventricular Assist Device Program. In 2011 he was named nurse practitioner of the year. Philip Dlugasch has presented locally and nationally regarding the care of patients with left ventricular assist devices. A Lt Col in the United States Air Force Reserves. Philip Dlugasch is the chief nurse at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida where he oversees 18 nurses and 25 medical technicians. He has served almost 25 years in the military and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2008. Philip Dlugasch is also a member of the International Medical/Surgical Response Team (IMSURT-South). In 2005, he was deployed to Texas to care for victims of Hurricane Rita. In 2010, he was deployed to earthquake ravaged Haiti for 3 weeks providing medical and surgical support to the people of Haiti.
