SCHOLAR DIRECTORY

I am a new graduate from Gwynedd-Mercy College, where completed a majority of collegiate studies and was also a Graduate Assistant. I have a passion for education, both as a student and teacher. A majority of my RN nursing practice has been focused on improving mental health care, and assisting individuals who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. I am a new practicing nurse practitioner and currently employed in a rural healthcare clinic in Stanley, Virginia. Through my practice opportunities this year, I have found individuals with mental illness are neglected and underserved in this community in particular. As I will be entering into Vanderbilt University’s DNP program this fall, I look forward to research opportunities that explore the effectiveness of the current mental health programs.
