Biography

I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1992 from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York. Upon graduation I was commissioned a United States Naval Nurse and Officer. I proudly served at the United States Naval Medical Center San Diego, Camp Pendleton, Camp Lester Okinawa, Japan, the USS Peleliu and the USS Chandler. During my twelve years of service, I worked in Pediatrics, Same Day Surgery, Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit, and Maternal Child Nursing. Following my Naval career I came home to the city I love and pursued a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from C.W. Post, Long Island University. I am currently teaching Pediatrics at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York and pursuing a PhD in Nursing at Molloy College. I am married to LCDR Troy Bradwisch (USPHS) and have two beautiful children Connor (14), and Grace (11). I am passionate about researching issues pertaining to women and children in the veteran community.
