University of Washington DNP
Biography

I am a Pacific Northwest born-and-raised Doctor of Nursing Practice student specializing in Adult Geriatric Primary Care. My nursing education began at the University of Portland in Portland, OR where I joined the Army and received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. The Army led me to San Antonio, TX where I spent six years working on adult medical-surgical units at Brooke Army Medical Center. I also spent over a year volunteering at a hospice agency where my interest in the field developed and led to my pursuing an AGNP with the goal of becoming a hospice NP. I am currently a Captain in the Army Reserves assigned to the intermediate care unit. I have been married for 3 years and am the mother of a spunky 16-month-old boy. Running is my favorite hobby, and I hope to train for my 4th half-marathon this fall. In the future I hope to be involved in policy and nursing education.
